Chuka University VC Erastus Njoka Bereaved
Word has it that Chuka University's vice chancellor Professor Erastus Njoka and his wife- Dr. Veronicah Nyagah are mourning the loss of their child at the Meru General Hospital. Our source failed to reveal the cause of the death of the VC's child but told Chukaunigossip that the Vice Chancellors family lost one of them about two weeks ago.
The source claimed that during their last church service, their pastor had asked them to contribute some money to help the bereaved family. We have no more information regarding the burial and the gender of the deceased child. We send our heartfelt condolences to the family.
This having happened two weeks ago, a random Facebook user by the name Ken Ben who had claimed to be an Al shabaab leader had earlier on, threatened Prof. Erastus Njoka's life and those close to him for indiscriminately expelling 45 students from only selected tribes. The Facebook post on Chuka (CUC) University Live was written in an Arabic context but we managed to translate it. [See photo below]
News however reaching us claimed that the user was later found by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Pwani University. Apparently, Ken Ben was not even a Chuka University student. These occurrences forced the Vice Chancellor to ask the CUC Facebook group's admins to filter what was posted by the members.
As you might all know this but CUC Live doesn't actually belong to the school administration and anyone is permitted to post whatever they feel like on the group. The school administration has, however, created their own official social media accounts where they will be posting regular updates.
