Exclusive Photos Of The Palacial Mobimatt Hostels In Chuka... Utahamia huku??
You have all heard about the Mobimatt hostels being constructed about 700 metres from Chuka University on your way to Tumaini all weather road, right??
Mobimatt is an investment co-operative society whose mandate is to collect funds from its members and invest in viable projects such as the palatial hostel that will benefit students of Chuka University.
According to the architect's impression, the Mobimatt hostel in Chuka will be one of the most beautiful state-of-the-art buildings in the area.
It will be located about half a kilometre from Chuka University main gate take a right turn at Tumaini Academy Junction and you will see this poster.
Construction of Mobimatt hostels began mid 2016 and is yet to be completed.
Mobimatt Investment Company claim that their hostels are meant to target students from these campuses: (i.) Chuka University (ii.) KMTC Chuka Campus started on January 2016. (iii.) KIM Chuka Campus.
Below is another artist's impression but I'm not sure if it's the same Mobimatt hostel;
So what makes Mobimatt hostels unique and different from all these other hostels around Chuka University?
1. First off, the Mobimatt hostels will have installed CCTV cameras for 24 hour surveillance and guards to provide security around the clock.
2. It will also have a main entrance with an access controlled system either through a finger-print scanner or swiping with a room card.
3. They will have a borehole and water treatment meaning it will be the only hostel in Chuka with 24/7 water supply.
4. Mobimatt hostels will have classy wardrobes for every student.
5. Green energy solutions. Biogas produced from the sewer will be used for cooking, security lights and also to pump water.
6. The hostels will have social halls where you can hold your birthday party events, lounges to relax and even laundry areas.
7. Electricity meter for every room fitted with prepaid gadgets i.e students pay for their own electricity consumption.
8. Every room will contain 4 occupants who will paying Sh.5,000 each per month. I'm not sure if this is the final rental charges we will communicate via this website.
Question is, will students of Chuka University afford to live in these hostels?
I'm not sure... what do you guys think?????
