EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Catastrophic Sand Storm Sweeps Through Chuka University

Early this week, students of Chuka University were shocked after a disastrous sand storm swept through the institution and down to the Ndagani market centre.

The fast moving 'miraa' vehicles were even forced to slow down to avoid hitting pedestrians or worse causing a head-on collision with on coming vehicles.

Ndagani Market was covered in dust and I could not help but capture the incident using my phone.

The appalling sand storm can be attributed to the strong winds from the leeward slopes of Mt. Kenya and the two month long dry period without a rumour that these sides of the country might get any rain.
