Chuka University Students Unite In Vigil To Honour Fallen KDF Officers

Chuka University students on Saturday joined the bandwagon of Kenyan mourners as they stood in vigil to honour fallen Kenya Defence Forces(KDF) officers. The rest of the world also participated in mourning the death of our heroes in Somalia even as mystery surrounded the Al-Shabaab terrorist attack on a military base.

Kenya Defence Forces soldier under Africa Union Mission in Somalia (Amisom) patrol Kismayu town on November 22, 2015. If Kenya did indeed lose more than 100 soldiers last week, the El Adde attack represents Amisom’s bloodiest day since it deployed to Mogadishu in March 2007.

Chuka Uni students also lit candles arranged creatively to show  solidarity with Kenya Defence Forces (KDF. This came a day after Genesis Youth Family, the organisers of the Street Poetry event, engaged Eldoret-based poets and musicians and provided a platform for attendees to pour out their hearts in lauding the efforts of the soldiers as they condoled the families of the bereaved.Here are the photos;
